How does it work?
Being a Hood River Organic CSA member is easy!  Here’s how it works:

You can join at any time since we are a year-round CSA.  Create an account here, sign up to pay as you go or prepay for 10 boxes and automatically receive a 10% discount. Once you’ve chosen your subscription you’ll choose a delivery frequency of weekly, bi-weekly or monthly.  Next you’ll choose from a convenient pick-up location or home delivery.

What is in a box?
We have four (4) different CSA box sizes:

  • Micro-Sprout (feeds 1-2 people)
  • Sprout (feeds 1-3 people)
  • Farmers (feeds 2-3 people)
  • Grande (feeds 3-5 people)

Each box has standard items depending on what is available from our farming partners that time of year.  That being said, you can customize your box to suit your taste.  If you don’t like beets swap them out for something you do like.  So the question “What is in a box?” is really up to you.  To learn more about customization please check out our “How do you customize?” section below.  Here are some examples of packing lists for our Sprout and Grande-sized CSA boxes:

How do I pay?

10 Box Subscription

If you sign up for ten boxes you will be charged for all ten up front.  By doing this you will receive a 10% discount!  Once all of the prepaid boxes are delivered, your subscription defaults to pay as you go at full price.  This continues until your subscription is cancelled or until you purchase another prepaid 10 boxes.

Pay Per Box

By electing to pay per box your credit card will automatically be charged each time you receive a share.  If you do not wish to be on auto-renew please contact us.

Where do we deliver?
There are two different options, pick-up and delivery.  You may choose from our many convenient pickup locations.  (Please allow us until 3:00 PM for all pick-up locations.)  Or for a fee of $5.95(standard shipping)/$19.95(extended shipping) you can get the box dropped off right at your doorstep.  Just check out our map and see if you are in our delivery zone
How do I put a hold on my box?
Hop on over to your account and you will see a grey “Hold” button.  Please click the button before Monday at 12:00 am the week of your delivery in order to process this request.  If you wish to put your box on hold for multiple weeks, please contact us at csahoodriver@gmail.com and we can assist you.
How do I customize?

The week before your box’s scheduled delivery you’ll receive a customization email on Thursday alerting you that it is time to customize your box.  Next, log into your account and click on “See what’s in my box/View calendar” (if you have only one subscription) or “Box schedule and contents” (if you have multiple subscriptions).  When in your account, you can also just click on the day you are scheduled to receive your box on the calendar.  Then click on the up or down icon to add or remove items from your box.  You can see a full explanation here.

How do I cancel my account?
All you need to do is email us at csahoodriver@gmail.com with a request to cancel your subscription.  Please cancel at least 1 week prior to your next delivery, since we are a farm and typically plan one week ahead.
How do I purchase a gift certificate?
Giving a CSA share makes a wonderful gift! Here are the steps for purchase:

  • Create or login to your account
  • Once you’ve created an account go to our Storefront
  • Then select “Gift Certificate” on the left vertical tool bar
  • Select the size and how many boxes you’d like to purchase
  • After check out we will contact you regarding shipping information
